Volunteering

The success of our programs relies heavily on the involvement of our Tiger Pride families.  Families are expected to volunteer for regular season home games, or pay the volunteer opt-out fee.  This fee is only applicable to regular season home games.  All families will be expected to volunteer for post-season home games.

If you did NOT pay the Volunteer Opt-out fee during registration, you must bring a post-dated check for $300 to equipment pick-up and volunteer during home games, or serve as a coach or team mom.  If you fail to volunteer, your post-dated check will be cashed at the end of the season.

WE CANNOT CONDUCT OUR HOME GAMES WITHOUT YOUR HELP!

Volunteer Clearances

Tiger Pride requires that all volunteers working directly with players, or requiring access to the game or practice fields, submit the following clearances to the Board of Directors Safety Committee Chair, Christopher McConnell [cmcconne52@gmail.com],  as required by the PA Child Protective Services Law:  Act 34 State Police Criminal Record Check AND Act 151 PA Child Abuse History Clearance.  Additionally, those who have not resided in Pennsylvania continuously for the past 10 years must also submit a fingerprint based FBI Criminal Background Check.

Grievance Procedure

All problems or issues raised by the membership shall be within the jurisdiction of the Grievance committee.   All grievances shall be submitted in writing with the aggrieved party’s name and contact information.

Due to the inability to appropriately corroborate information, any anonymous grievance, unless it falls within classification of an act that requires a mandated reporter to make the appropriate report to law enforcement, shall not be considered grievances and will be dismissed. Upon the filing of a proper grievance to the grievance committee, the committee will initiate contact with the aggrieved party within one (1) week of receipt of said grievance.

The committee will then proceed with an appropriate investigation which shall include questioning of all individuals named in the grievance. If those individuals are in any elevated position within the organization, ie, board member, coach, assistance coach, team parent, they must cooperate fully with the investigation or be subject to dismissal upon an Emergency vote of the Executive Board.

The Committee shall present all grievances to the Board. If the Committee is able to resolve the grievance amicably they shall then present the grievance and the resolution to the Board at the following meeting. If the Committee cannot solve the situation satisfactorily, the Committee than will present the grievance to the entire Board at the following monthly Board meeting.

At that point a course of action will be discussed and voted on by the Board and is to be communicated to the aggrieved party within 7 days. If the party is dissatisfied with the findings of the Board, they are to express their objections, in writing, within 7 days for further evaluation by the Board. After further discussion and investigation, if necessary, the Board shall, in writing, provide the aggrieved party the Board’s final decision regarding the matter.
